The story beneath the work
Three questions. One restless current. The name, the poems, and the pull that keeps bringing me back.
Every creation begins with a reason.
The WHYs
Not three separate destinations; three chapters of the same story. Choose one, then keep moving through the page.
Why Unscripted Gravity?
I never went looking for poetry. Since I was twelve, it has poured out of me without asking; sometimes in rhythm, sometimes in fragments, always free of rules.
The first piece that truly named that pull became Unscripted Gravity. The name has grown beyond the page, but its meaning has never changed.
“I create because it is the only way I know to keep my thoughts from sinking too deep inside me.”
Why Poems?
I do not write poetry because I studied it or learned to love its rules. I write because scattered phrases become quieter once they have somewhere to live.
Sometimes the words rhyme. Sometimes they fracture. Either way, they begin as a way to untangle the noise and end as something another person may recognize in themselves.
“Poetry may not be something I love, but it has never stopped showing up.”
Why Always?
The form changes: page, fabric, guitar, stomp pad, AI-assisted voice, but the source remains the same. The words take root and pull me back.
This is not about making a living from creativity. It is about making sense of myself, again and again, for as long as the words keep coming.
